Responding to comments by DfI Minister Liz Kimmins announcing the introduction of Irish language signage at Grand Central Station, DUP MLA Deborah Erskine, said:
“This announcement by Liz Kimmins perfectly reflects the misguided priorities of the Department for Infrastructure under Sinn Fein.
While people across Northern Ireland are dodging potholes on crumbling roads, or watching streetlights being ripped out in rural areas, the Minister is more focused on Irish language signs for a bus station. What will this cost? This money could and should have been better spent on fixing our roads and improving infrastructure for everyone. Once again, Sinn Fein prioritises their narrow agenda over the wider public good.”
