Mr Wilson said.
"Whilst the Minister said that cutting red tape was an important part of the levelling up agenda, Northern Ireland is being strangled by the additional restrictions imposed by the Protocol.
The Government needs to show how Northern Ireland would benefit in the specific areas the White Paper boasted about in terms of education, research ,infrastructure investment, new housing, improved communications, reduced crime and increased productivity.
As a result of the Protocol, Northern Ireland will be treated differently and not to our advantage.
The Protocol has already been shown to be costing us £2.5 million every day and now this White Paper once again shows another aspect of how the Protocol is going to drive up prices for consumers and drive down choice."
