The Upper Bann MLA said, “These jobs represent a substantial and significant boost to the Northern Ireland economy. The work in bringing forward this announcement has not happened overnight and has its origins during the tenure of previous Economy Ministers. Programmes such as the Assured Skills Academies have been hugely successful over recent years to ensure companies can tap into the skills necessary for such an investment.
Whilst some people may attempt to portray these jobs as representing a success of the Windsor Framework, they are of course in the services sector which is unencumbered by the restrictions imposed upon Northern Ireland.
Businesses know the importance of basing their investment on a solidfoundation. That is the case in Northern Ireland with the talent and workforce we have. It must also be the case for devolution where we want to see progress based on solid foundations that can deliver stabledevolved government.”
