Speaking following correspondence he received from the Police Mr Irwin said-

"It is welcome that I have received confirmation from the Police that there was an active policing operation in place at the time this parade in honour of a terrorist was held.

The Police have further informed me that they are currently reviewing footage and any suspected offences will be fully investigated.

Anyone engaging in the glorification of a proscribed organisation should face the full force of the law. The display that took place on Sunday 18th April was not only an act of blatant glorification but also of great hurt and insult to the victims of terrorism.

I am also appealing on any witnesses or anyone with further footage to please come forward to assist Police with their enquiries by calling 101. If you wish to remain anonymous please contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
