The Fermanagh & South Tyrone MLA said, “There have already been delays in relation to this report with its own Terms of Reference indicating the final report was to be submitted and presented to management in the week commencing 2nd June.
We are now just over a month since that date and more than a week after the Minister told MLAs it would be published on the Department’s website “in the next few days”.
This report has been paid for with public money and I highlighted concerns in the Assembly chamber that the report had pinpointed themes which were already known. Having said the report would be published within a few days the delay means it is now happening whilst the Assembly is in recess, and potentially even further into a time when many people are on holiday.
Sinn Fein aren’t noted for a desire to undertake any form of public scrutiny, so if the Minister wishes to avoid more suggestions of that practice, then she should move to publish the report now.”
