The MLA pressed the Health Minister during Question Time to the Minister and added:

'I took the opportunity during my first Assembly Question Time to press the Health Minister to ensure improved access for people seeking to get in contact with their GP’s. Securing a face to face appointment with a GP can be a difficult task, and can often be very frustrating for those in need.

I believe that more must be done to improve access to GP surgeries, particularly as we seek to move beyond the pandemic which understandably has had an impact on GP services. Accessible front line services are vital for early intervention and better health outcomes and I will continue to press the Health Minister on the need to improve access and support to improve front line services and enable greater face to face GP services.’
