Donaldson - "we need stable foundations for devolution"

Sir Jeffrey Donaldson MP said,

“I had a constructive discussion with the new Secretary of State on Thursday evening where I urged him to focus on restoring stability to Northern Ireland by dealing with the Protocol.

The Committee stage of the Bill is scheduled for next week and I welcome the decision to maintain course.

Every day the Protocol remains, further damage is inflicted on Northern Ireland. I look forward to working with the Secretary of State to ensure the Bill continues to be advanced and in tact.

It is only by dealing with the Protocol and restoring the balance, that stable foundations for devolution can be laid.”
