“The Ulster American Folk Park has long been a favourite destination for visitors from across Northern Ireland and beyond. It plays a vital role in educating people about our rich emigrant history and the deep ties between Ulster and America. However, it is vital that our attractions continue to modernise to meet the expectations of visitors today.
I warmly welcome the investment of £750,000 by the Department for Communities into the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh to deliver much needed improvements. This is a significant boost for what is a valued cultural and historical attraction. I want to extend my sincere thanks to my DUP colleague and Communities Minister, Gordon Lyons, for his commitment to supporting the development of the Folk Park.
I look forward to seeing this work completed and to the positive impact it will have on those who come to explore the unique story told at the Ulster American Folk Park.”
