Mr Dunne said this was yet another example of Sinn Fein’s intolerance and disrespect towards the people of Northern Ireland

Stephen Dunne, who sits on the Communities Committee said.

“It is disgraceful that Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey is refusing to open a community grant scheme to mark the historic occasion of HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Across Northern Ireland, Her Majesty is highly respected and widely admired.

For a Sinn Fein Minister to refuse to provide any funding for communities to rightly celebrate this historic milestone, shows once again their complete intolerance and disrespect towards the people of Northern Ireland.

Sinn Fein demand respect, yet deny it to anyone who does not share their blinkered bigotry.

Basic recognition of British identity is seemingly too much for Sinn Fein and once again exposes the treatment the people of Northern Ireland would be subjected to if Sinn Fein was to win the forthcoming election.

The people of Northern Ireland will not forget this disrespect and will very soon have the opportunity to pass their judgement at the ballot box.”
