Phillip was elected to the Northern Assembly in May 2022
Prior to his election to the Assembly he served as a Councillor for the Glengormley area of Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council and was leader of the DUP Group.
Following the re-establishment of the Assembly, he was appointed Chairman of the Economy Committee.
