Carla Lockhart said,
“Like most MPs in the Commons today, I was utterly confused by Sorcha Eastwood’s question. This is a shame as PMQs is such a unique opportunity to be clear on the priorities we have for our constituents.
It seemed the focus was on an anti-DUP soundbite rather than any substance. It was a waste of a question to the UK’s Prime Minister.
If the Alliance Party was serious about standing up for workers in every part of our country then they would join with those of us seeking to remove trade barriers between Northern Ireland and our most important market. The greatest risk to our economy, and to jobs, comes from the arrangements Sorcha and the Alliance Party champion in the Protocol.”
