Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has praised Ulster Carpet Mills as a leading innovator of manufacturing in Portadown, expressed her sadness and disappointment that the workforce is to be reduced by 70 jobs and pledged to work with the employer and employees in any way she can.
The DUP MP said,
"I am saddened to learn of that UCM has had to move to a redundancy phase. My thoughts are with all the employees and my office will be open to help those impacted in any way I can.
