The DUP MP said, “I am proud that such a world-leading company has its global headquarters in Craigavon. The growth in profits comes alongside a significant expansion in its global workforce to some 7,000 people. The target of creating over 1,000 jobs is one set out by the company just over 18 months ago.
Almac is a Northern Ireland success economic success story and their growth in recent years has helped put Northern Ireland at the forefront of the life and health sciences sector. This is an area that will continue to be of huge importance not just nationally, but globally and I know that Almac will continue to be a key player in this field.
Despite that global reach however Almac has always maintained its roots in Craigavon and it remains an integral part of not just the Northern Ireland economy, but of our local area here in Upper Bann. I am delighted to have worked with the company in the past and will continue to support them in any way possible going forward.”
