The documentary was narrated by the son of a Hamas official and a cameraman who appeared to celebrate the 7th October attacks.
Speaking afterwards the DUP MP said,
“Since the attacks of 2023 we have seen the BBC quietly abandoning references in their reports to the fact that Hamas is a terrorist organisation and has been designated as such by the UK, EU and USA. The latest revelations about this documentary pose much wider questions about the BBC and what due diligence is carried out before effectively carrying terrorist propaganda.

The most central figure in the documentary was the son of a Hamas deputy minister of agriculture, something that should have been clear to those making the programme. The fact this has been followed by a number of other questions of impartiality raise further and more significant questions about the processes the Corporation undertook in its production.
Whilst the Culture, Media and Sport Committee will have an opportunity to question BBC officials, it would be appropriate for MPs more widely to also have the chance to question the Secretary of State in relation to this. The Government need to step up and ensure this can happen.”
