Mr Campbell said,
“The North-West 200 is a fixture of the calendar for traders and residents in the North-Coast and I am hopeful a way forward can be found. Bringing tens of thousands of visitors and tourists to the triangle area at the start of the summer season is vital for the tourism and hospitality sector and the widespread media coverage is beneficial to the whole of Northern Ireland as a visitor venue.
This insurance hurdle is a significant challenge, but hopefully the organisers can reach a solution which can allow the race to continue.”
